James Dooley and Jesper discuss the best social media profiles for ranking in Google search through parasite SEO. James Dooley: Best social media profiles or accounts to rank in Google search. Today I'm joined with Jesper, who does a lot of parasite SEO and social media work with regards to parasite SEO.
Jesper, if we had to go through this, first and foremost, let's talk about day-to-day activity. What do you do on social media with regards to rankings in Google?
Jesper: I start out each morning posting on up to 15 social media accounts. I use around two hours every day.
Strategically, most of the time I post about what comes to mind. If I have an idea or I have made an observation about a new parasite that is rising in popularity, I will post about that. Sometimes, if I do not know what to say or write, I go into my X account. I have the premium account, so I go into my posts from last year, around 12 months ago, and sort them by popularity. Then I take the most popular tweets, repurpose them and post them again. That works extremely well. There is something about the specific wording you use that is universal. I can take the same tweets, post them again, and they will reach the same popularity.
James Dooley: Just to clarify that, are you taking the content and creating a new tweet, or are you retweeting the old one so it comes back?
Jesper: I copy the content verbatim from the old tweet and then create a new tweet on X.
I am not retweeting the old tweet. I am making a new tweet, so it starts from zero and reaches the same popularity. I see that all the time. It is interesting that the algorithm is refined enough to detect good content and bad content. Most of the time, I post to almost 15 social media platforms, and I usually copy and paste the same content into all of them. I do not make any changes unless I want to rank for something. I will come back to why I do that. Time is precious, and the purpose of being on so many social media platforms is to grow my personal brand. A local business owner can use this strategy for business brands too. Google shows us inside Google Business Profiles the seven most popular social media profiles we should create. They are Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest. It is very time-consuming to post to so many social media profiles, so that is why I just copy and paste the same thing. Some people may object and ask whether people will get bored if they see the same post on X and LinkedIn. No, they will not. It reinforces the idea that you are a competent person because you are reposting the same content. That is what I do. Sometimes, when I want to rank for something, I do it a little differently. I switch out the first seven to 12 words on each post. I have the Prime Indexer indexer, and inside Prime Indexer, I built an analysis tool that only I can see. I analyse all the page titles and content on all URLs that users ever post to Prime Indexer. What I see very clearly is that when Google comes to visit your website and decides whether a URL is a good page or a poor page, it looks first at the page title. Inside the HTML head section, you have the title tag. That is what Google looks at first. Google measures whether it is keyword-stuffed, spammy, positive or negative, and whether you are hyping what is on the page. It also looks at how many named entities you have. A named entity is a keyword that has a Wikipedia page. I see a correlation between the number of named entities and indexing rates across URLs. It seems to be a global thing. Google appears to measure this because it improves its understanding of what the page is about. If Google likes the title, it proceeds to read your content and can index you. If it does not like the title, it may not index you. That is important when posting to 15 different social media profiles. If you want to rank for “how to do affiliate SEO for running shoes” and you are not changing the title, only one or two of your social media profiles may show on page one, not all 15. You need to change the order of the words or add something at the end, not the beginning.
James Dooley: So at present, you have 15 different profiles. You write a status, use the same status, and share it across all 15 platforms.
However, when you are trying to rank those posts, you do not syndicate the exact same title. You change the first seven to 12 words.
Jesper: Yes.
James Dooley: How do you decide when to write something for Google rankings versus when to write something your followers might want to hear, such as a new parasite website performing well?
Jesper: That depends on how much time I have.
If I have a lot of time and no active tasks, I might start the day by writing a blog article about SEO, schema, indexing or something similar. Then I post it to one of my websites, grab the most important highlights and keywords from that article, and post them to 15 social media platforms. I then send all of those URLs to indexing services.
James Dooley: Will the first seven to 12 words all be the same or different?
Jesper: They will not be the same. That is very important.
That is the most frequent mistake I make myself. I forget that rule, even though I know it. Google will not show 10 search results with the exact same title. You can try this for any keyword. Google will never show 10 results with the same title. You need to change it up while keeping in mind that the leading keywords are what you will rank for verbatim. This is important for local SEO, not affiliate SEO, because affiliate SEO is too difficult. If you are a local plumber, you want more positions on page one in Google because you want to push your competition out. That is why it is very important and powerful. You also want to be the one cited in AI Overview. If you do your job correctly, your YouTube post, Facebook post, LinkedIn post, blog article and other assets can be cited in AI Overview. You might also get five positions on page one if you're a local business.
James Dooley: With regards to the best social media platforms to rank in Google search, I'm going to narrow it down.
You cannot do 15 anymore. You are only allowed to do three. What are your top three in order? What is the best, second best and third best social media platform you would use for parasite SEO to rank in Google search?
Jesper: I think Facebook company pages as number one, X as number two, and LinkedIn, either personal profile or company page, as number three.
That is my top three.
